EFI Thread Lift: Frequently Asked Questions

The EFI (Eye Face Institute) Thread Lift is a minimally-invasive facelift using special suture material (threads) to resuspend the sagging facial tissues. It can be used to resuspend the brows, midface, jowls, or neck without removing any skin through micro-incisions in the hairline.

Am I a good candidate for a thread lift?

If you have noticed early sagging of facial structures or lost definition of your jawline, you would benefit from an EFI Thread Lift.

How is an EFI thread lift performed?

This is a minimally-invasive procedure which is performed under light sedation and local anesthesia in 45-60 minutes. Small micro-incisions are made behind the hairline through which the suture material (threads) are introduced and these are passed through the sagging soft tissue. Tension on the threads then pulls that tissue towards the desired vector (usually upwards and outwards) to create a more natural, youthful look.

What is the recovery like for an EFI thread lift?

There is some mild discomfort, bruising and swelling around the surgical site for 3-5 days. The facial contours and skin will look natural after 1-2 weeks.

How long will results last after an EFI thread lift?

Results typically last for 6-24 months in most patients.

What is the cost of an EFI thread lift?

The cost is $1,500 to $3,500 depending on case complexity.
